UNAOC – Entrepreneurs for Social Change Programme 2015

Project Details:

Entrepreneurs for Social Change (E4SC) is a programme launched by UN Alliance of Civilisation (UNAOC) and it was formed in partnership with the CRT Foundation and the Italian Government. E4SC brings together 20 aspiring young social entrepreneurs from the Euro-Med region for a targeted five-day training developed by social entrepreneurs from the region. The training participants are seeking to create employment opportunities while addressing obstacles that can often lead to marginalization, radicalisation and extremism. Issues addressed by these budding social entrepreneurs include conflict prevention, reconciliation and collaboration across borders.

In addition to the five-day training, the E4SC project also offers young participants six months of mentoring support from experts in the sector and region. Historically, just six months after the mentoring period several participants successfully start their own social enterprises and create employment opportunities while helping address tensions in their communities.

The 2014 Edition of the E4SC programme was held in Turin, Italy between October 16-22.
